first snow

what is so magical about the first snow? I remember when I was little, I would get up 3 or 4 times in a night just to make sure it was so snowing. If it was I would get excited, if it wasn't I was disappointed. I love the color the sky is at night when it snows. The street lights create an ambient reflection causing the sky to be pink. For some reason I love it. I went for a walk to the mailbox in the snow a couple of nights ago. Everything was so quiet. I, for some reason reflect of all the things I am thankful for when it snows. I don't know if it is because we so badly need the snow and when it starts to fall, maybe I just know that our Heavenly Father is so very mindful of the things we need and what makes us happy. As much as I hate the cold. I do love the snow
